Project Objectives

During the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the arts and theatres have been heavily affected by the fallout from lockdowns and social distancing, as a result, they’ve fought for survival through the form of grants, loans and fundraising. Harrogate Theatre approached us to support them with their fundraising campaign in a bid to raise money to secure the future survival of one of Harrogate’s truly iconic gems. The theatre wanted it to appeal to general people but also trusts and foundations that might have more funds for support.

Our Solution

We decided that we needed to make this fundraising video about the people. With Harrogate Theatre’s campaign named “HT Together”, it was about people coming together from all walks of life. We brought together different faces from different areas the theatre touches on with it’s shows, audiences, team members and community to showcase the value and power this local theatre has on it’s town and the wider community.

We wanted the film to be emotional but tell a story that was wrapped into 30 seconds, 3 minute and 7-minute versions for tailored marketing to different audiences. We wanted to make the theatre, its people and its shows - the hero - which we did by showing the building, shows and stories.

  • £7,000 Raised in fundraising

  • 30,000 Views online

Reel Film were so helpful and went above and beyond throughout the process taking the time to talk through and understand exactly what we were looking for. From the initial storyboarding, to the filming and editing of the video we received exceptional and professional service. We were delighted with the finished video which had a significant impact in delivering our fundraising message. Nothing was too much trouble and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Reel Film to anyone thinking of investing in video marketing for their business.
