Creating a transatlantic mini-doc to boost B2C sales
Project Objectives
Hydropool wanted to create film to showcase their sponsorship with DragonFish Row, taking on the Talisker Whisky Challenge. The client wanted to capture this intense challenge and its association with the water to keep everything on brand message in a punchy, dynamic and different piece of media for the brand.
Our Solution
We needed to tackle the creative challenge of bringing together a transatlantic story – without filming the event itself – and showcasing product for brand association. We thought a mini-documentary with shorter cutdowns would be the video marketing solution with a punchy, people-focussed narrative to bring the creative to life. We filmed with the team over a 9-month period with all creative, story, production and post-production taken care of in house at Reel Film.
