Repurposing Hydropool YouTube Content to Increase Product Sales
Project Objectives
Since their name change in 1980, Hydropool has been one of the leading manufacturers of hot tubs and swim spas in North America. Established by a father and son with a background in swimming pools, Hydropool has valued family, fitness and the restorative power of water for over 40 years, achieving international success and acclaim along the way.
When Hydropool approached us to work on their latest advertising campaign, they wanted to repurpose existing content into content for the Hydropool YouTube account, while reasserting the brand messaging at the heart of the company. With so much material at our fingertips, Reel Film were eager to take the plunge and get started on some Hydropool YouTube content.
Our Solution
We wasted no time diving into their archives, reviewing the quality content we previously created for the brand to find footage with fitness themes and a family feel, which would allow us to demonstrate the diversity of Hydropool products. Once we had compiled several shots of children and adults of all ages enjoying their swim spas, we stitched them into a montage that depicted the Hydropool in various contexts and portrayed a family brought together by a love of water.
In order to clarify their brand message for the YouTube audience, we included text callouts on screen in the form of easy-to-read motion graphics. When Hydropool were happy with the final edit, we helped them to schedule the upload to YouTube and across other Hydropool social media platforms.
