Let’s Work Together

We are an award-winning drone videography agency

As an award-winning specialist video production company based in Yorkshire, our mission is to create powerful films and videos that connect people. One of the finest tools in our filmmakers’ toolbox is drones, and as technology has advanced, we have fully embraced this filming technique to enhance our projects. By taking the camera to the skies, drone videography allows for shots that are truly captivating and impossible to capture from the ground.

Our Clients

Our video specialists have worked with clients across a wide range of sectors. We’ve produced emotive motion graphic projects for charities to raise awareness for important causes, and we’ve brought products to life through slick 3D animations for businesses. Whatever your niche, we’re looking forward to working together.

Why Use Drones for Filming?

Drones might seem relatively new, but they have been used in video production for over a decade. Drone videography allows for footage that would be near-impossible to capture otherwise, such as aerial shots or fly-overs. And, it’s great for providing an epic sense of scale in your video – the perspective from the sky is so much wider than from the ground.

Filming drone footage is also significantly cheaper and more accessible than alternative methods for capturing similar shots, such as filming out of a helicopter or on top of a crane.

Equipped with state-of-the-art cameras and stabilisers, our drones are capable of capturing beautiful landscapes, bustling cities and intense action shots! We typically use drone footage in combination with other filming techniques, such as interviews and ground cameras. We find that interspersing different camera angles and perspectives makes the video more compelling and memorable for your audience.

Explore How We Use Drones in Video Production

We often incorporate drone footage as part of our video projects. Check out some of our favourite video content projects that successfully used drone videography.

Hydropool

This mini documentary showcased Hydropool’s sponsorship of DragonFish Row as they completed the physically demanding Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge – a 3000-mile row across the Atlantic Ocean.

The drone footage was an essential part of this project, capturing intense overhead shots of the dramatic ocean, and emphasising the difference in size between the tiny row boat and the vast Atlantic Ocean. This footage helped to reiterate just how challenging this feat was, and combined with on-boat footage and interviews created a powerful mini documentary.

Leeds City Region Entreprise Partnership

In this video, we used drone videography to capture stunning footage of Leeds Bradford Airport and other businesses within the Aire Valley and Kirklees. By using drones, we were able to fully showcase the scale and value that public investment has brought to develop local infrastructure, whilst also highlighting the beauty of the region.

FAQ

Are there any restrictions when filming with a drone?

Filming with a drone has more restrictions than ordinary filming equipment. Firstly, drones count as aircraft in the eyes of the law, so you require a licence to fly one in the UK. Our team is fully certified in flying drones.

Additionally, it is important to note that drones cannot fly over roads or within 50 meters of a person, vehicle, or building not owned by the drone operator. Therefore, it is recommended that you obtain the correct clearance prior to filming, especially in public areas.

Can drones film in bad weather?

As might be expected, drones typically can only be used in clear weather. We’ll advise on the weather and hopefully find a gap from high winds or rain. If not, we can always reconvene and shoot another day.

What are the possibilities of filming with drones?

Aside from abiding by laws and the bounds of physics, the possibilities for filming with drones are limitless! We can capture intense action shots of fast-moving vehicles or beautiful scenic footage of the great outdoors.
